Jessica Simpson is officially a mom of two! On Sunday, the singer-turned-fashion designer gave birth to a son named Ace Knute (the middle name is in honor of Eric Johnson‘s Swedish paternal grandfather) in Los Angeles, her rep confirms.

“Mom and baby are doing great,” her rep also tells Us Weekly. “Jessica, Eric and Maxwell are thrilled to welcome the new addition to their family.” Although Jessica planned to keep the sex of her second baby a secret, she accidentally let it slip during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live in March.

And she’s excited that daughter Maxwell Drew, who turned 1 on May 1, will get to have a little brother since Jessica didn’t and “I think the unknown is really exciting,” she told People in April. “I can’t wait to have that connection with our little man.”
